Kidepo Valley and Karamoja Cultural Safari - 5 Days

Day 1: Drive to Gulu via Ziwa Rhinos Sanctuary
Your five days safari to the true African wilderness will kick off early morning from either Entebbe or Kampala. You will have a lunch stop at Ziwa rhino’s sanctuary where you will also visit the only Rhinos in Uganda. You will proceed to Gulu town crossing the Great River Nile. Here you will have an overnight.

Day 2: Drive to Kidepo Valley National park and have a game drive
After breakfast, you shall drive to the rugged semi arid but beautiful valleys of Kidepo valley national park. The exclusive savannah plains are a habitat for over 77 mammal species which include the famous Africa big five as well as around 475 bird species. You will arrive in time for lunch and afterwards head for your first game drive.

Day 3: Game drive and walk at the Hot springs
Today you will set out early for a game drive and have an idea how animals start the day. Look out for elephant, warthog, duiker, Jackson’s Hartebeest, lion, leopard, zebra, giraffe, huge herds of buffalo, cheetah and hundreds of bird species. After an afternoon rest, you will have another game drive that will lead you to the Hot springs. You will take a walk around these hot water streams.

Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon Community visit
After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive through the Narus Valley. it will also enable you to be in full sight of varieties of birds as well. In the evening you will drive to a nearby village for a community experience. Discover the interesting beliefs and values of the Karimojong people. You will also be able to see some of their traditional tools, crafts and jewelry. You will also be invited for a vigorous leaping dance with these jolly individuals.

Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe
You will have an early breakfast as you wind up your safari and prepare for a long road journey to Entebbe or any other destination of your choice. Don’t forget to look out the beautiful landscape and features along the way, you will be driven to the airport to catch your flight back home.
